In today's mayoral, senate or presidential races, can you honestly say that ethnicity is a non factor?

Let's be honest, in Atlanta GA, Mary Norwood and Keisha Lance-Bottoms mayoral race totally came down to race. Two educated women with a history of being really involved with the community and having worked closely with inner city youth not for profit and for profit organizations. This women have rather extensive resumes and they both genuinely want the city of Atlanta to thrive and prosper. Both hoping to bring more jobs, business and unity to the city.

So, how the hell did the mayoral race boil down to ethnicity? White votes or black votes. Total bullcrap!

Another question that comes to mind is, "Should Political Party" or "Sex" be factors when citizens are voting for candidates? Shouldn't it be more about the facts, what the person will bring to the table, their experience, their education, their background and their capability to lead efficiently while being productive, transparent and proficient.

Non factors are becoming such a huge part of the political process and it over shadows the candidates. Let's be bigger than race, sex or political parties and get down to what really matters.

We will continue to have the issues that we face in society as long as we refuse to vote with knowledge and facts. Non factors are distractions and this tactic have worked and will continue to work as long as we continue to vote a slate.

Do your research on candidates and vote for the one with a proven tract record. Do not let political parties or race continue to divide us as a country and people.
