Working for someone is not typically the ultimate plan, right?
We all seek to have our very own fortunes and a piece of the 'American Pie.' But honestly speaking the real questions are:
How can we start our own business
How much are the start up costs
What products or services will I provide
How will I promote
What location
Will I need additional funds
Do I need a business plan
How will people find me
It will take time and plenty of effort to answer and check off all the things on this list. So, here are a few things that you will most definitely need:
Research data on products/services you wish to sell
A dream team
Business cards
Business plan
Website
Focus
Drive
Mental clarity
Consistency
Positivity
Negotiation skills
Customer Service skills
Support System
Business phone number
Business email
Business Social Media Profiles
No questions asked, these are the basics! Don't allow yourself to get side tracked, stay focused.
Always make a plan and stick to it as much as humanly possible. Be original, no one likes copycats. People can smell a fake and ingenuity a mile away. Allow yourself the opportunity to learn and gain knowledge from other's failures and accomplishments.
Keep business cards on hand or your business scan code so that people can easily follow and contact you for products or services. Remain positive and surround yourself with creative, like minded people.

Loving what you do is imperative and having passion for your business will give you that drive that you will need to push forward through the rough periods, because there be times where you may not get the amount of business that you may want and you will feel like giving up but that's when you remember why you started and wipe yourself off, pick yourself up and proceed ahead.
Remember to keep your moves and plans to a need to know basis. Don't give others information on your business plan, keep that private. There will be haters and naysayers, but use that to empower your movement to building your empire and stacking your coins!
Importantly enough handling your business means putting things in priority. Your cell phone will be your personal assistant. You will use it to book appointments, schedule meetings/interviews, update your blog (as I am doing currently) manage your twitter/Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat/Youtube. Answering your personal calls will have to be limited when you are building your business and brand. Learning how to decline invitations to events of family and friends and making it clear to them that you have to work and that it is nothing personal. Take care and good luck!
